Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Umber Holidays. By accessing and using our website and services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before booking any travel services with us.

1. Booking & Confirmation

All bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation. Confirmation is issued only after receiving the required deposit or full payment, depending on the package and travel date.

2. Payments

Payments can be made via online transfer, UPI, credit/debit cards, or cash (in selected cities). Full payment must be received before the commencement of the tour. Umber Holidays reserves the right to cancel any booking not paid in full before the travel date.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation policies vary depending on the destination and type of service. Specific terms will be provided with each booking. Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 10–15 working days from the date of cancellation. Some bookings (e.g., non-refundable hotel or flight fares) may not be eligible for a refund.

4. Changes by the Customer

Requests for changes to the itinerary must be made in writing and may incur additional costs. All changes are subject to availability and approval by suppliers.

5. Travel Documents

It is the responsibility of each traveler to ensure all required travel documents (passports, visas, permits, etc.) are valid and available. Umber Holidays is not liable for any costs or losses incurred due to missing or invalid documentation.

6. Pricing & Inclusions

All prices quoted are in INR and are subject to change without prior notice due to fluctuations in taxes, fuel prices, or currency rates. Package inclusions and exclusions will be clearly mentioned in your booking invoice or itinerary.

7. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to conduct yourself in a respectful and lawful manner during the tour. Any damage to property or disruption caused to other guests or service providers may result in additional charges or removal from the trip without refund.

8. Inbound Tour - For Foreign Nationals, NRI, PIO, OCI Visiting India

All correspondence regarding tours and travel services should be addressed to Umber Holidays. All foreign nationals require a valid Tourist VISA to visit India. Visit www.indianvisaonline.gov.in for details. Tourist Visa on Arrival (e-Tourist visa) is available for passport holders of certain countries. Details at e-Tourist Visa Info.

Booking confirmation is subject to receipt of deposit/full payment. Cancellation and refund policies apply as per booking confirmation. Additional charges may apply during peak seasons, special events, or for special train journeys.

9. Outbound Tour - For Indian Nationals Traveling Abroad

Indian nationals are responsible for obtaining valid passports, visas, and complying with immigration regulations of destination countries. Umber Holidays provides assistance but does not guarantee visa approvals. Travel insurance is highly recommended to cover cancellations, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen events.

All bookings require minimum deposit of 25% or full payment for certain services. Balance payment must be made 15 days prior to departure. Cancellation charges vary by destination and time of cancellation, with no refunds for last-minute cancellations or no-shows.

Flight, hotel, or special event bookings during peak seasons require full payment at booking. Umber Holidays is not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes caused by airlines, hotels, or third-party service providers.

10. Liability

Umber Holidays acts as a travel facilitator and does not own or operate hotels, transport, or airlines directly. We are not liable for delays, losses, accidents, or changes in service due to third-party providers or force majeure events (natural disasters, strikes, etc.).

11. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations, medical emergencies, or loss of belongings.

12. Passport, Visa & Health Requirements

It is the responsibility of the traveler to ensure they have valid passports, visas, and meet any health requirements for international travel.

13. Force Majeure

Umber Holidays shall not be liable for failure to perform its obligations if such failure is due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to war, natural disasters, pandemics, government regulations, or acts of God.

14. COVID-19 Advisory

Travelers must comply with government and health authority guidelines related to COVID-19. This includes providing vaccination proof, negative test results, and following quarantine regulations if required. Refunds may not be available for last-minute cancellations due to COVID-related disruptions.

15. Complaints & Feedback

We aim to deliver excellent service. If you have any complaints during your trip, please report them immediately to your local representative or guide so we can address the issue promptly.

16. Governing Law

These terms and any disputes shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of India. Any legal disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.
